Rihand, an Azerbaijani company, successfully exited following its acquisition by a foreign firm. The platform served the beauty industry by providing a comprehensive portfolio management solution for professionals and businesses.

I worked closely with the CEO as a consultant. My main goal was to help him implement better engineering leadership. I focused on helping the tech teams move faster and collaborate more effectively.

Key Challenges

  • Team Dynamics: The biggest hurdle was improving communication between different teams and individuals.
  • Leadership Alignment: There was a disconnect between leadership and the engineering team. Leaders often shared too many ideas at once without clear plans for follow-through.
  • Reduced Friction: This constant stream of ideas created confusion and added unnecessary stress for the engineers. I worked on refining these processes to lower the "mental clutter" so the team could focus on what mattered.
